Gayle Knutson is a 25-year veteran of the film and television industry. Her producing/directing credits include:
•GRANDFATHER’S BIRTHDAY, a powerful dramatic short film and winner of more than 20 awards worldwide including a regional Emmy award. The film is now used by more than 1,200 churches, schools and aging institutions across the U.S. for education on aging-related issues.
•PRISONER 32,232, a short documentary on the life of Reidar Dittman, a former Norwegian resistance member who spent more than one year in the notorious Buchenwald concentration camp. The film has been awarded the best “Coming of Age in the 1940s” film by the Minnesota History Center’s Greatest Generation Moving Pictures Film Festival. It is also included as part of the permanent collection at the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
Gayle has also produced and directed television commercials, public service announcements, broadcast programs and corporate films and videos.
She grew up in a small town in northwestern Minnesota and now lives in an even smaller Minnesota town with her husband Jim, daughter Casey and dog Skippy.
